KF RETS

The KF acronym stands for Knowledge Frame. Knowledge Frame is a framework for developing GUI applications in a standard way. The main strength of KF is it’s ability to alter the appearance of the web pages displayed to users dynamically and it’s powerful rule engine. This was originally intended for use with databases and database centric applications.

When RETS came out in the industry, KF was re-tooled to be able to utilize RETS Metadata instead of Database Metadata to build graphical applications that read and write data to and from RETS Servers.

The KF packages utilize the JRETSC interface when interacting with the RETS server thereby isolating KF developers from needing to understand the details of the RETS transport protocols.

Knowledge Frame is a standard MVC (Model/View/Controller) architecture that enables applications to be developed that run on Java Application Servers. These applications present data to users via Web Browsers.
